LONELINESS ?, May 2019
Loneliness isn't lonely
It's true,
A two-faced thing, with a different view.
Joy and fear, they walk hand in hand,
No easy path to find the peaceful land.
One side's a dark bridge, cold and deep,
Where shadows crawl and secrets sleep.
The other, an oasis, bright and bold,
Where sounds are soft, and stories told.
Loneliness, it’s not a peace stay,
Your impatient heart steals the day.
Its colors shift, always has a hazy hue,
Grayish white
Greenish white
Bluish white…
Oh, if only white could simply be the white,
Loneliness, it’s not like itself anymore,
It is all "sorts of" things, leaving its core.
Alone and still, like cobblestones
Soft grains of sand, sleeping at the shores
You feel like the Milky Way, so far above,
Stardusts whisper in your ears, ticklish with love
You wake up each morning for another lonely walk,
Even your loneliness cannot find you to have a decent talk
